5th Annual Lunch Party with a Purpose

Today Seeta Durjan Begui hosted her  5th annual "Party with a purpose” at her home in Melbourne.
The ladies luncheon was to benefit Serene Harbor domestic violence shelter.

Seeta cooked her very special Curry Chicken.  Stating " I am so very proud to cook for the ladies and to share food and special time together to raise funds for domestic violence."


Seeta author of "18 brothers and sisters " herself  was a victim of domestic violence.

Nancy Peltonen, Director of Serene Harbor was there and spoke on new additions being added to provide for, not only women and children but also pets.

Ellen Little was cheered on   for her work and  support .  Ellen another very active lady in the community and Radio Talk show host with Seeta.

Toward the end of the luncheon over $1700 dollars was raised for Serene Harbor. With joy it was announced and everyone  was very grateful to participate in this very special luncheon, including myself.

It is with great pleasure and honor to have  attended this event and witness the women in the county coming together as one in the community.

Serene Harbor  will be holding its 9th annual purses with a purpose  October 3, 2014 at Crown Plaza in Indialantic. Columbia Bush former first lady of the State of Florida  along with Tiffany Carr  CEO Florida Coalition against domestic violence.
